Update 08/12: The meeting can also be followed online! Registration is still available.

The Amsterdam municipality sees the city’s diversity as its strength and wants to encourage all Amsterdammers to participate. The commitment to diversity and inclusion has now become commonplace in many organisations. Every or- ganisation shapes diversity policy in its own way, encounters often similar problems, and seeks solutions through a variety of avenues. To move forward, it is important to learn from each other how to deal with challenges. Partly for this reason, the municipality is commissioning the platform ‘Amsterdam – Divers & Inclusive‘ .In addition, the municipality wants to support an exchange of knowledge and experience within the (semi-)public sector. Specific obstacles need attention, namely the lack of knowledge about the level of diversity in the workforce and which interventions work well for which groups in which contexts. Moreover, it is important to include target groups and their interest groups in inclusion. With these goals in mind, the Amsterdam municipality supports the organisation of a Diversity & Labour Market Day, especially for the (semi-)public sector.
