Through mid-April 2021, the Amsterdam photography museum presents FOAM the work of photographer Les Adu. Les Adu’s I Am consists of more than one hundred powerful portraits showing the resilience and pride of the black community.
Photographer Les Adu was deeply affected by the death of George Floyd and the subsequent outcry from the Black Lives Matter movement worldwide earlier this year.and see. In response, Adu created more than a hundred powerful portraits of his family, friends and acquaintances. The individual photographs depict the strength, resilience and pride of the black community.
Because the museum is currently closed, FOAM has developed a special online program titled #foamathome, to still take visitors from home to the planned exhibitions.
